   Concealed / Stealth Structure
 
     Low-impact, attractive antenna support structures used to provide consistent quality wireless coverage without disturbing neighborhood aesthetics.  The antenna structures are concealed and the antenna and support blend into the neighborhood surroundings.  The concealed structures have the outward appearance of a clock tower, cross, flagpole, etc.
 
   Fold-over Tower
 
     Fold-over towers bend or articulate at 10-foot level or other interval to allow easier access for the maintenance of meteorological atmospherics, security cameras, lights or other equipment mounted on top of the tower.  
 
   Guyed Tower
 
     Tower structures using guy wires for support.  Guyed towers are used to support antennas and communication equipment for telecommunications, radio transmissions, cellular applications, PCS, and wireless internet applications
 
   Mast / Extender
 
     Masts are often mounted on another tower or building to extend height or for horizontal extension from a tower or pole. 
 
   Mobile / Tower Trailer
 
     Mobile towers are sometimes available in a tower trailer form, and they often use a telescoping tower that tilts up or folds down.  Mobile towers provide solutions for emergency communications, two-way radio, remote base stations, cell-on-wheels (COW), and other mobile or temporary applications. 
 
   Monopole
 
     Poles or monopoles are free-standing masts typically with solid cylindrical supports.  Monopoles provide a free-standing tower for lighting, traffic or communication antenna applications. 
 
   Platform Tower
 
     Towers designed to support a platform for surveillance (military, forest fire towers), recreation (diving, fishing, boat platforms), support of equipment, construction (scaffolds), or operator access. 
 
   Roof Top Tower
 
     Small mounts or towers designed for attachment to building rooftops.
 
   Rotating Towers
 
     Rotating towers or turntables are often used in EMC Compliance testing antennas, with directional antennas and radar antennas.
 
   Self-supporting Tower
 
     Self-supporting (free-standing) towers are constructed, welded or frame-bolted structures with a wide base that tapers to the peak.  Self-supporting towers are designed as a universal free-standing solution to a wide range of demanding applications such as standard microware antennas, wireless internet, cellular radio antenna platforms, mobile or LPTV antennas or PCS / GSM radio towers. 
 
   Telescoping / Crank-up
 
     Telescoping towers are also known as crank-up masts or lift towers.  Telescoping towers provide solutions to emergency communications, two-way radio, remote base stations, and other mobile or temporary applications.  Lift towers also have the ability to elevate a load.

   Aluminum
 
     Aluminum alloys provide high toughness at moderate strength levels, with very good corrosion resistance and less-than-half the density of steel.  With the addition of copper, aluminum alloys can be heat-treated for higher hardness and strength levels. The strength-to-weight ratio, weldability and corrosion resistance makes aluminum alloys a commonly selected material for aircraft and marine applications.  Most aluminum alloys have good availability. 
 
   Steel - Stainless
 
     Alloys of iron, chrome and nickel and other alloying elements. Stainless is too expensive for most tower applications, but the high corrosion resistance may find application for extensions / masts, mounting hardware, pedestals, tripods or small towers for marine applications.  
 
   Steel
 
     Carbon and alloy steels have high toughness, strength, and good weldability.  Plain carbon and low-alloy steels have good availability and moderate cost. The structure should be painted or coated to prevent degradation by rust or corrosion. 
 
   Composite / Plastic
 
     Plastic and pultruded fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) composite materials provide an alternative to the more commonly applied materials.  The dielectric and nonreflective nature of some plastics and composites provide an advantage over metal structures in certain antenna applications. Their good electrical insulation characteristics make them safer when used for mounting brackets or cross arms on power line poles or towers.  While more costly, fiberglass reinforced plastics can provide superior strength compared to wood, and reduced maintenance costs compared to wood and some metals. Plastics without reinforcements typically will not have the strength for large tower applications, but they may be suitable for smaller mounts, masts / extensions or stealth-structure facings. 
 
   Wood
 
     Pressure-treated wood for structural / building applications.  Often used for utility poles or lighting applications.
 
   Other
